Born and educated in Manchester, Oliver's love for architecture and design started at a young age. His mother was a planning consultant and his father an architect, the combination of these two influences embedded a deep understanding of the built environment and architecture.
Oliver attended the Manchester Grammar School before studying Philosophy at the University of Manchester. He went on to train as an Insolvency Practitioner.
S+O Associates is an interiors and architectural design practice that specialises in office design, restaurant design, workplace consultancy and high-end hospitality & residential projects. Our work is aimed at providing businesses, restaurateurs, hoteliers and developers with the very best in design services. At the heart of our work is a commitment to excellence.
Our core design team is based in Cheshire, however, we undertake work around the UK, Europe and the Middle East. We have developed strong relationships with specialist contractors, manufacturers and suppliers in order to provide our clients with the very best quality of materials, furniture and finishes every time.
about us
Oliver left the world of finance in 2005 to pursue a more fulfilling career in design. He studied Interior Architecture at the University of Salford. After a year he decided to study two degrees simultaneously and began his third degree in Creative Practice at the Manchester School of Art and Design. Once completed, he studied for his fourth degree, a Masters in Building Information Modelling and Integrated Design at the School of the Built Environment in Salford.
Following a number of successful positions at renowned restaurant design firms, such as Carroll Design, Oliver founded Ludlam Studios and operated successfully for several years. In his career, Oliver has designed for; San Carlo, Fazenda, East Coast Concepts, Piccolino, Restaurant Bar & Grill, Zinc, Opera, Gino D'Acampo, and many more restaurant design projects. In 2018, Oliver and others, set up S+O Associates with the aim to provide clients with the very best designers and makers for every project in restaurant design and interior design.

Jordan started his career working in electrical engineering. After deciding on a more creative path, he completed an Art & Design Foundation degree and continued to study for an Interior Design degree at the University of Chester. Following this, Jordan completed a Master's degree in Building Information Modelling at the University of Liverpool.
Jordan has taught at the University as a graduate digital learning facilitator for several years. Professionally, Jordan's background is as a Technology & Development leader at Visual Architects. Restaurant design specialist.
Jordan has introduced 3D Lidar Scanning and the use of Virtual Reality to optimise data capture with BIM technology. His passion for technology and design is a valuable asset to any practice and we are proud to have his expertise as part of the team.
